2 hOUR DELAY - REGISTRATION OPENS AT 10:00 am

10:00AM - 11:00AM

Registration and networking breakfast

11:00AM - 11:10AM

Opening remarks

Speaker: David Appel, Vice President US Federal, AWS

11:10AM - 11:30AM

An executive perspective – where we’re heading in 2024 and beyond

11:30am - 12:00pm

How leaders can take control to drive resilience

Speakers:

Larry Taxson, Chief, CLOUDworks

David Nolton, VP, Region Services, AWS

Leaders are always thinking about how to move their mission forward, faster. But how can they make sure their organization is ready? Before leaders can begin to efficiently leverage the cloud’s power for mission AI/ML, high performance computing, or tactical edge deployments, they must first establish a sound foundational resilience. That includes data access control/management at scale, resilient networking options, and secure cloud infrastructure down to the system-level. Hear from federal government and AWS leaders on how to build foundational resilience in the cloud and what mission impact scalable resilience can bring.

12:00PM - 12:30PM

Strategies for navigating multi-cloud decisions

Speakers:

Micky Iqbal, Director of Enterprise & Principal Technologists, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS

Manan Dalal, CIO, NESDIS

John Lau, Sr. Strategic Technology Advisor, OCIO, USPTO

Susan Lake, Director, Infrastructure & Operations Service, FAA

As government agencies seek to accelerate cloud migration and transformation, some find themselves managing IT operations in a multicloud environment, or simply struggling with whether to adopt a multicloud strategy and how to implement it. Leaders must consider how operating multiple cloud environments impacts business outcomes and innovation. In this panel discussion, AWS and government leaders share insights and guidance to aid executive decision-makers in their multicloud strategy.

12:30PM - 1:00PM

Networking lunch

Executive meetings and Ask a Strategist sessions available upon request

1:00PM - 1:30PM

What does generative AI really mean for federal missions?

Neerav Kingsland, Head of Global Accounts, Anthropic

Todd Conklin, Chief AI Officer and Deputy Assistant Secretary, Cybersecurity/Critical Infrastructure Protection, US Treasury

Generative AI is an exciting, new, transformational technology. But how do federal leaders take advantage of what it promises? What’s real? What is just hype? Where can it impact mission and how do federal organizations get started? AWS leaders and customers will discuss how to get started with generative AI, what use cases it can be applied to in the federal government, and how to make sure you’re ready to take advantage of this emerging technology.

1:30PM - 2:00PM
